I spent a wonderful day at my grandparent's ranch. All the flowers are in full bloom and the birds are signing and having babies! I had so much fun running around on a photography spree. There were such a variety of flowers blooming. The most classic of all springtime flowers is the daisy! So simple and enduring, every time I see daisies they always cheer me up. Fanciful Fungi
I made this series of paintings for the final project in my figure drawing class. The assignment was to create a series of four drawings of a human figure juxtaposed with an object of my choosing.

My Grandmother is from Germany where it's common practice to pick wild mushrooms from the forests to eat . As a child I used to go mushroom hunting with my grandmother. There is nothing more beautiful than coming across a cluster of fresh wild mushrooms in the forest. The trick is to pick a few and leave the rest to spread their spores. I would never pick wild mushrooms now though. I think they are far too beautiful to pick them, I would much rather just take a picture :)
